UNIT TOURNAMENT COORDINATOR DUTIES
To be considered timely, sectional applications must be submitted at least one year in advance. An application received that cannot be listed in the ACBL Bulletin Calendar at least one month prior to the tournament date may not be approved.
The Unit Tournament Coordinator is the only person authorized to submit a sectional sanction application and must use the online form.
Check the tentative schedule posted on ACBL’s WEB site for possible conflicts within your district and any adjoining district.
Fill out the online sanction application with all information required (TBD may be used if the site is not known). The form is automatically forwarded to the appropriate District Coordinator for approval.
Notify your District Coordinator, by e-mail, of a date change request to an already sanctioned tournament.
Submit applications for special requests such as, but not limited to, Senior Olympic games scheduled in your unit.
Check the Tournament Coordinator Bulletin Board for announcements regarding tournaments.
